our story

Annette and Roberto came to Coleman from Fort Worth, Texas to restore a historic building that needed to be saved. It was built in about 1908 had had been empty for many years. The restoration took about a year and now they live upstairs and have the boutique and café downstairs. Annette has been in retail sales for over 30 years, from small boutiques to big retailers such as Gap and Pier 1 imports, and always dreamed of having her own boutique. Roberto was a CPA. Prickly Pear is their '"retirement". They love to serve the Coleman community... The boutique has a great mix of fashion, jewelry, shoes, and gifts. The café serves a cranberry pecan chicken salad that is always on the menu and a daily special.
